AsiaNanoTech Launches Baby Diapers with Eco-Friendly, Plant-Based Natural Super Absorbent (SAC)

AsiaNanoTech, a nanocellulose materials company, introduced two eco-friendly baby diapers designed to avoid skin irritation, heat and rashes.

After completing its Cheongju factory and establishing mass production of SAC (Super Absorbent Cellulose), its eco-friendly plant-based natural super absorbent, the company launched the diapers in the Korean market as the first products using the material.

SAC replaces the chemical super absorbent polymer (SAP) used in sanitary pads and diapers, addressing concerns such as heat, rashes and carcinogenicity, while being biodegradable.

Chairman Choong-hoon Lee said the launch commercializes, with Korean technology, the global effort to replace chemical SAP, and predicted major changes in absorbent markets such as diapers, sanitary pads and food pads.
